Welcome to Straits Knowledge

We are a global consulting and research firm with offices in Europe and Southeast Asia focused on knowledge, learning and innovation. Founded in 2002, Straits Knowledge brings over 50 years of professional experience in information and knowledge management, and strategic change initiatives. We help organisations develop bespoke knowledge management strategies, frameworks, roadmaps and programmes. We also build enterprise taxonomies and ontologies for deployment in digital content management systems, and we work to support our clients in their digital transformation journeys.

We work with our clients to develop evidence-based KM strategies and roadmaps. We have a robust knowledge auditing methodology and a knowledge mapping and diagnostics platform. We also work on digital knowledge management programmes, developing enterprise taxonomies, taxonomy-enriched search and discovery services, and digital governance in support of AI-services.

We conduct training across the spectrum of our KM consulting services, including how to use an evidence-based approach to develop a KM strategy and roadmap, how to manage project knowledge, how to develop taxonomies, how to foster peer collaboration, and how to elicit, transfer, and retain experience and expertise. We offer both in-house and public workshops.

We produce performance support tools such as method cards, diagnostic cards, and a guidebook to aid knowledge managers in their KM assessment and planning work. We have developed a knowledge mapping and KM diagnostics platform named Aithin™, through our sister company Straits Knowledge Digital.
